"We looked at so many childcare centres before finding Halifax St. Not only is it convenient for us being located in the CBD but Halifax has an authentic community feel about it that the others just didn’t have. We belong to that community now. Our child has made some beautiful little friendships and we’ve met some amazing educators and lovely families who have since become truly great friends."

Halifax Street is a truly special kind of place. You can’t help but feel the sense of care and thought that goes into everything the educators and staff do, from the incredible food the children get to eat every day, to the moments of learning that the teachers and educators create from each child’s unique interests and passions. As parents it’s wonderful to see our kids happy, engaged and thriving at day care! We feel listened to, respected and supported by the amazing staff, and in turn we’ve learned so much from them – it’s really a two-way street!

It is often said that it takes a village to raise a child. We are so very fortunate to have such thoughtful and caring staff at Halifax Street, who continue to help us raise our children. We know that our children’s wellbeing, learning, health and safety are always being considered by those who are charged with that responsibility at Halifax Street. It is a truly special environment and we are grateful to every single staff member at Halifax Street who has helped and continues to help us to raise our children.

Thank you for all that you do everyday to make sure that our son Zach is happy and well looked after. The work that you do never goes unnoticed and you have made our move from Sydney that much easier knowing that Zach is enjoying himself and feels comfortable in your care.

To all the educators at Halifax Street Children's Centre. Thank you for providing such a warm, loving and brilliant environment for Alexandra. It's very hard to leave my baby; however, I look forward to seeing how happy she is after spending each day with you. To Kate and Sophie, thank you for running a well organised and welcoming centre. I'm sure with you both there, the centre is even more amazing that it would be otherwise. To Julie, thank you for making food that Alexandra cannot get enough of! I've had to improve my own cooking for her to enjoy the food at home as much as she enjoys yours! Thank you for being the best carers that Alexandra (and me and Nigel) could have asked for Alexandra's 'first daycare' experience. The love she has for you is precious. We look forward to watching Alexandra share many more adventures with you.

We are so grateful that Emma has had the opportunity to grow and learn in such a caring and connected environment. Thank you all for being part of our extended family over the past three and a half years, and for the kindness, energy, thoughtfulness, positivity and patience that you bring to your roles as Educators.

Although the hustle and bustle of working life sometimes gets in the way and although we do not always say it - the tireless work you all do never goes unnoticed. We would like to thank each and every one of you at Halifax Street for the wonderful, supportive, caring, nourishing and warm environment you create for our children each and every day. We always say how lucky our family is to be a part of the Halifax Street community. It truly does take a village to raise a child and it’s obvious how you have helped shape Imogen and Annabel into the confident, caring and creative little learners they are today. From the bottom of our hearts thank you for the important work you do every day and for the special roles you play in our children’s lives.

We are just so so thankful that we found Halifax Centre and scored a spot. Sloane is so happily settled and usually joyous at drop-offs and often reluctant to leave at pick-ups. We so appreciate the tidbits of Sloane's day that the staff share at pick-up most days - whether it's a new friend made, countless stories read to her by patient readers or something she's created during the day. You have no idea how nice it is to have the knowledge that you're interacting and observing and allowing her space to grow into a capable and confident little human. THANK YOU

It is a very difficult thing to leave one's precious child in the care of others for the whole day, day after day, especially when they are tiny and you have never been separated for more than an hour or two. We struggled with whether this was the right thing for us to do and still do on some days, if we're honest. However, we have never for a minute felt that Halifax Street was not the best place for Flora to be, if she could not be with us. Knowing she is genuinely loved, cared for, (extremely well-fed!), respected and challenged makes all the difference in the world. Flora has thrived at Halifax Street. She is confident and happy. She is valued for herself. We look forward to seeing her learning continue, especially as a "big Room 4 girl". We look forward to seeing how Alfie grows and develops with your influence. Halifax Street is a big part of our little world and you are all important people in it. Thank you for your care, energy and curiosity, which goes above and beyond.

We want to let you all know that we appreciate each and every one of you! You have made us feel so welcome as a family to your centre, and as parents we feel confident that you all care for our boys wellbeing, and make every effort to ensure that they are nurtured, encouraged and challenged to learn and grow as individuals and for that we are very thankful.

The staff at Halifax Street are such a diverse and energetic team of professional educators. It is a pleasure to see Nicola learning new skills as well as watching her mind open to the possibilities that her life presents. We feel so grateful that she is growing up in such a supportive and exploratory environment and is being guided by a team that think deeply about the impact that they are having on young lives and provide a space for children to wrk together as they make sense of and embrace the reality of the world they are in. Thank you to everyone at Halifax. Your tireless search for the best way to set the next generation up for success is a credit to each member of the team and the leadership group that guide them.

I would really like to thank all of the educators in room 1 for being so welcoming and wonderful in helping Quinn transition into the centre. He has really settled in and seems to have made friends with everyone! All of the staff are so friendly and considerate. I cannot speak more highly of you all!
