Ask us about our Early Learning programs for 3 and 4 year olds!

Our educators are dedicated to creating best practice learning programs in a nurturing environment which will contribute to strong foundations and positive futures for our children.

We recognise and value the many rich opportunities for learning both inside and outside in children’s play.

We consider children to be competent citizens of our community and as such have a right to be actively engaged in the local community.

We support children to develop healthy approaches and ideas to food and nutrition.

Our context and space is one of learning and one for learning – it is our centre’s reason for being.

Welcome to the Halifax Street Children’s
Centre & Preschool

Halifax Street is a community-based, not-for-profit,  early childhood centre offering high-quality childcare and preschool education to children aged from 6 weeks to school age.

Conveniently located in the beautiful south-eastern corner of the city of Adelaide, the Centre caters to families living and/or working in the city. We promote strong relationships for the children with our local community, including the Hutt St Library and the St Andrew’s Hospital Community Garden.

Our Programs

We believe strongly that teachers make a difference to early learning and development and therefore employ an early childhood teacher to lead the learning program with each age group.
